Sheet Metal Developer

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pattern Development: Create accurate flat patterns from 3D models using geometric methods
• Fabrication: Cut, bend, and shape sheet metal using various tools
• Assembly: Join components through welding, soldering, or riveting
• Design & Modeling: Utilize CAD software to design components and generate models
• Quality Control: Inspect finished components for compliance and accuracy

Key Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong technical understanding of metals, welding processes, and blueprint interpretation
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM programs like SolidWorks and Fusion 360
• Ability to meet physical requirements of workshop environments

Requirements:

• Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Grade 12
• 5-10 years' experience in sheet metal development
• Proficiency in CAD and sheet metal design software
• Knowledge of fabrication processes and technical drawings
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
