Description
Job Description:
- Perform structural analysis and design using advanced finite element modelling tools
- Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical reports, and design documentation
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, draughting teams, and contractors
- Conduct structural assessments, inspections, and provide technical input during construction phases
- Ensure designs comply with applicable local and international codes and standards
- Deliver practical, safe, and cost-effective structural solutions throughout project lifecycles
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 35 years post-graduate experience in structural design and analysis
- Proficiency in FEM software such as ETABS, Autodesk Robot, Prokon, or similar platforms
- Solid understanding of SANS standards and South African construction practices
- Progress toward professional registration (ECSA) will be advantageous
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills
Qualification:
- BEng / BSc in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Masters degree in Engineering (advantageous)
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered
