Cashier / Receptionist, Johannesburg

Purpose of the Role:
The Cashier/Receptionist is responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing the front desk, handling payments, and ensuring smooth daily salon operations. This role is key in creating a welcoming environment for all clients.
Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome and assist clients as they arrive at the salon.
• Manage appointments, bookings, and walk-ins using the salon system.
• Handle all cashier duties, including processing payments (cash, card, EFT).
• Answer phone calls, respond to messages, and provide accurate service information.
• Maintain a clean, organised reception area.
• Upsell products and services where appropriate.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as printing schedules and confirming appointments.
• Work closely with salon management and stylists to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Handle customer queries and escalate complaints to management when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12
• Previous experience as a cashier or receptionist (salon experience is an advantage)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to work on booking systems
• Well-groomed, friendly, and professional

Ability to work weekends and public holidays
