AREA MANAGER & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST - Skin Care & Cosmetics

JOHANNESBURG & PRETORIA | Gauteng, South Africa

START: A.S.A.P / 01 August 2025

REPORT TO: Sales Manager / National Sales Manager / CEO

HOURS & SHIFTS:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 08:00am  - 17:00pm

SALARY & BENEFITS:

(CTC) including:

  • Market Related Basic Salary (based on relevant experience) - Neg.
  • Petrol Card for business travel only
  • Car Allowance for vehicle maintenance
  • Cellphone Allowance
  • Medical Aid (Discovery) contribution (50/50)
  • Provident Fund (included in CTC after 6 months of employment)
  • Monthly Product Allocation
  • Monthly commission on opening orders
  • Quarterly commission (tiered & target based)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Centrally based for ease of travel between Johannesburg & Pretoria / surrounds
  2. Ability to travel outside of South Africa to other African countries (Namibia, etc) at least once per annum
  3. Valid driver license & your own, reliable and insured vehicle - this is not negotiable, traveling is an inherent part of this employment
  4. Qualification in Beauty / Spa / Cosmetology / Health & Skin Care / Somatology - Non negotiable
  5. You MUST look the part, beautifully groomed and very well presented (hair, skin and nails & overall appearance)
  6. Demonstrated sales experience with a focus on new business development
  7. Professional English command for formal business relations, training and national engagement
  8. Afrikaans confident - you must be able to confidently engage in Afrikaans. 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS + EXPERIENCE:

  1. Confident and experienced in sales (B2B), new business development, client relationship building and meeting targets
  2. Actively pursue and secure new business opportunities - this is a KPI 
  3. Develop new marketing strategies to support the brands
  4. Previous skin care / luxury brand sales experience is required

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management abilities
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Capacity to work independently and efficiently within a professional environment
  • Ability to manage multiple brands concurrently
  • Effective time management skills to meet deadlines consistently

  • Strong customer service skills to ensure optimal customer satisfaction
  • Proficient in data analysis and trend identification to enhance performance
  • Strong organizational skills to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects.
