CNC Lathe Programmer / Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes for precision machining.

• Develop and optimize CAD/CAM programs for efficient production.

• Select appropriate cutting tools, tool geometries, and machining strategies.

• Calculate and apply correct feeds and speeds for various materials and tool types.

• Interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications.

• Continuously improve machining programs and processes to enhance productivity.

• Ensure work is completed according to quality and safety standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 10 years hands-on CNC Lathe machining experience.

• Trade Test: Qualified Turner / Machinist (Red Seal or equivalent)

• Strong CAD/CAM programming experience (preferably Mastercam).

• Solid knowledge of cutting tools, tooling geometries, and tool selection.

• Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, and machining parameters.
