Salary: R10 000 – R12 000 per month

Role Overview

Our client, a well-established steel manufacturing company based in Wadeville, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Stores Controller to manage stock control and dispatch operations within the stores department. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate stock management, controlled issuing of consumables, and efficient dispatch processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Control and oversee the dispatch of finished goods and stock items

• Manage and monitor the issuing of consumables, including grinding discs and other workshop materials

• Ensure accurate stock handling and distribution procedures

• Perform regular stock counts and maintain strict numeracy accuracy

• Reconcile physical stock on hand with system records

• Identify and report stock discrepancies

• Assist with internal and external stock audits

• Maintain organized and compliant stores procedures

• Ensure proper documentation of all stock movements

Minimum Requirements

• Previous experience in a stores or stock control role (manufacturing environment preferred)

• Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail

• Experience working with stock control systems

• Ability to perform regular stock takes and reconciliati
