Description

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE :

Ensuring that the Quality Management process is implemented and that various teams are abiding by the Quality Process and Food Safety standards.

KEY TASKS:

Custodian of Q&FSMS system

  1. Verification checks of all control measures checklist completed by various departments
  2. Complete daily , weekly and monthly audits to monitor compliance across the business
  3. Issuing chemicals (stock control) stock count and completing chemical issuing Record
  4. Investigating customer complaints and providing feedback
  5. Supports warehouse on improving cleaning effectiveness
  6. Problem Solving
  7. Verification of all measuring equipment (Scales , thermometer)
  8. Check daily chiller and freezers temperature checks
  9. Cleaning checklist verification
  10. Complete monthly internal pest checks
  11. Set up samples for national tasting monthly
  12. Daily Package quality check and capture on data base
  13. Check daily temperatures are recorded for finished goods and finish product received
  14. Personal Hygiene checklist
  15. Waste management

Manages the pest control process, by:

  • Investigating Pest Control Reports and verifying concerns.
  • Liaising with the Pest Control Service Providers to address Pest Control Issues.
  • Dealing with Service Providers on site and assisting with on site visit.
  • Ensuring that recommendations from the service provider are actioned.
  • Ensuring close out documentation is completed and filed on record for audit as well as providing feedback to the QA Manager.
  • Monitoring and updating service records for Providers i.e new technician registration certificates and monthly service reports.
  • Raising a non-conformance on the database to address negative findings raised in monthly reports and circulating to affected parties for action.

Maintains the Quality and Food Safety Systems, by:

  • Knowledge of FSSC 22 000 food safety system
  • Updating and formulating policy and procedure documentation as well as checklists to ensure compliance to required standards and regulations.
  • Completing monthly internal audits to monitor compliance across the business.
  • Monthly micro analysis of raw materials, finished good and environmental factors and raising findings on the non-conformance database to address issues by determining route cause analysis and necessary corrective action.
  • Training employees on Quality and Food Safety requirements.
  • Review temperature trends to the QA Manager.
  • Checking on verification documents completed by designated employees.
  • Investigating customer complaints.
