Operations Operator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Operator to ensure the seamless execution of our last-mile delivery network. This role is central to maintaining service excellence, optimizing operational workflows, and serving as the critical liaison between transporters, retailers, and customers. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, tech-enabled environment and be driven by solving complex logistical challenges. The role requires prior operator experience, strong problem-solving ability, and the capacity to perform in a fast-moving, technology-driven environment. This is a remote position, good Wifi essential, and which will suit a reliable person with good communication skills and who is able to work under pressure and remain calm.

Delivery & Logistics Management

• Oversee the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, from dispatch to final-mile completion.
• Proactively monitor live deliveries, identifying and mitigating potential delays or service issues.
• Manage customer and client communications regarding delivery statuses, including timely updates on any delays.

Transporter Relationship Management

• Lead the onboarding and training process for new transporter partners.
• Provide ongoing support and education to transporters on platform use, protocols, and performance standards.
• Assist with transporter route planning, capturing, and continuous optimization initiatives.

Stakeholder Support & Communication

• Serve as the first point of contact for resolving queries and issues from retailers, customers, and transporters.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with internal management, escalating critical delivery issues immediately via designated operations channels.

Operational Excellence & Process Improvement

• Uphold and execute defined quality control procedures and daily operational checks.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Generate and provide actionable insights to enhance operational flow, customer satisfaction, and scalability.
• Rapidly adapt to updates in software systems, operational rules, and regulatory requirements.

• Matric (diploma in logistics is ideal but not essential)
• Computer skills and ability to grasp new programmes
• Proven experience in a logistics, operations, or dispatch operator role.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management.
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, technology-driven setting.
• A proactive mindset with a focus on prevention and continuous improvement.
