Minimum Requirements
Dispatch Operations
- Matric / Grade 12
- 35 years warehouse experience
- 23 years supervisory experience
- Experience in dispatch/logistics operations
- Syspro (or similar ERP) experience essential
- MS Office proficiency
- Valid Code 08 drivers license
- Valid Forklift license
- Hazardous goods experience (advantageous)
- Strong leadership and team supervision skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong planning and coordination ability
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
Dispatch Operations
- Manage daily long-haul dispatch from planning to execution
- Ensure accurate picking, checking, and loading of all orders
- Align physical stock with Syspro transactions and documentation
- Ensure on-time and accurate deliveries
- Coordinate with transporters and 3PL providers
- Ensure vehicle availability, optimal loading, and legal compliance
- Manage delivery schedules and resolve transit delays
- Process and manage inter-warehouse transfers (SCTs)
- Reconcile system stock vs physical stock before dispatch
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies
- Ensure all hazardous loads have valid TREM cards
- Verify UN numbers, SDS alignment, and safety documentation
- Enforce company safety standards and legal compliance
- Supervise dispatch staff (storemen, checkers, packers)
- Allocate daily tasks and monitor productivity
- Train and develop team members
- Conduct cycle counts and stock takes
- Monitor OTIF/DIFOT and dispatch accuracy KPIs
- Report variances and operational performance
- Enforce PPE usage and safe working practices
- Conduct daily safety briefings
- Maintain a clean and safe dispatch area
- Warehouse and distribution environment
- Fast-paced operational setting
