Duties:
Develop relationships, with external suppliers to ensure the very best reputation within the industry
Ensure that the operational Food and Beverage team can deliver the highest quality product, and the highest financial return
Ensure correct stock levels are available
Ensure strict compliance with all relevant Hygiene and Safety legislation and requirements
Champion a training culture within the Food and Beverage team
Constantly review the product range to ensure that all key quality standards are maintained
Responsible for maintaining and helping enforce the agreed brand standards and managing monthly audits
Assist with special events
Respond to all customer correspondence, ensuring this is communicated to the entire Food and Beverage team
Responsible for ensuring spend per head is increased, without jeopardising guest satisfaction and quality
Maintain the F&B Management invoices and journals, manage and monitor expenditure and budget
Operate within efficient labour budgets, tracking labour spending and providing input regarding capital projects and initiatives
Assist in the planning and implementation of new ideas and menu specifications
Provide constant leadership, counselling, advice and feedback to staff
Requirements:
Matric
Hotel management diploma or equivalent
At least 4+ years proven Food and Beverage management experience within a 4/5* hotel
Previous Restaurant Manager experience
Hands-on problem-solving approach and the ability to remain calm under pressure
Customer service driven with outstanding communication and active listening skills
Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently
Huge emphasis on staff training and development
Effective communication with members of staff as well as guests
Honest and trustworthy beyond approach
Great attention to detail
Presentable / Professional appearance and well spoken
Proactive in approach
Interpersonal skills
Leadership skills
