Description

The Senior User Experience Designer will work in a professional and comfortable work environment where the core focus is on learning, growth, knowledge sharing, teamwork and collaboration.

The Senior User Experience Designer must work in a team with developers, project managers, user interface designers and testers within boundaries of strict project deadlines.

The Senior User Experience Designer may be exposed to all major web and mobile technologies with excellent training opportunities both internally and externally.

Exposure that occurs will predominantly be through project-based engagements but may also take place via placements, outsourced teams and support and enhancement engagements.

The Senior User Experience Designer will either be based at the clients Head Office or on a client''s premises full time

If based at the Head Office, the candidate must be willing to occasionally travel to customer sites as necessary

There is a possibility of international travel.

Responsible for designing elegant, simple, hard-working interfaces that may be used by hundreds of thousands of people every day
Working with the business analysts, product owners, businesses, management and tech leads to understand and translate business problems into product features
Sketching on paper and whiteboards to help others develop an idea
Using Axure, Invision, balsamiq, or other tools to create high and low fidelity wireframes
Presenting prototypes to users to see how well your design works
Monitoring and reviewing the product team''s output at every stage
Making decisions that will push the team to produce a better product
Evangelizing UX design to your team''s business partners
Mentoring other UX designers
Helping to shape how the design team will grow and evolve as the product does
QUALIFICATIONS

Required (not-negotiable):
Grade 12 Senior Certificate (Matric)
A relevant degree or diploma in graphical design and/or user experience design
Advantageous (nice to have):
Courses/certifications in related area of speciality (HTML5, mobile technologies, web design)
Courses/certifications in Usability
Courses/certifications in Graphic Design software (Adobe suite, etc)
Courses/certifications in Prototyping software (Axure, etc)
