Maintenance Technician (Concentrated Products) (EE

Our client in the FMCG sector, based in Humansdorp, is currently looking to employ an experienced Maintenance Technician (Concentrated Products). (EE)

Requirements:

• The successful candidate will either be a qualified millwright or electrician although other suitably qualified candidates will also be considered.
• Preferred candidates will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience gained in automated food or beverages manufacturing environment.
• Previous knowledge and experience of evaporators, sprays dryers, cheese, butter, and other food processing equipment will be advantageous.

Reporting line:

• This position will report to the Concentrated Products Maintenance Specialist.

Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:

• The successful candidate will be required to perform scheduled and planned preventative maintenance in a Dairy plant environment i.e., Powder plant, Cheese production, and Butter plant.
• Do mechanical, electrical fault finding and repair of equipment to standard.
• Maintenance work and projects need to be done according to time frame and specification. Overtime and standby need to be worked as required.
• This position also requires of the candidate to work shifts.
