Requirements:Lecturer:At least a PhD in Hydrogeology.Tutoring, facilitation or conference presentation experience required. No teaching experience requiredAbility to teach in the following disciplinary areas: Hydrogeology and related geophysical methods, introductory geology in other fields.No research supervision requiredSome administrative experience albeit in informal contexts e.g., student or sports clubs, work experiences. Senior Lecturer:At least a PhD in Hydrogeology.Teaching experience at the undergraduate and post graduate levels required.Experience in teaching in the following disciplinary areas: Hydrogeology and related geophysical methods, introductory geology in other fields.Research supervision of at least Masters’ degrees required.Emerging national profile in discipline.Track record of research publication.Track record of administration, management, and/or leadership roles (leadership roles may be informal).Associate Professor:At least a PhD in Hydrogeology.Considerable teaching experience at the undergraduate and post graduate levels required including Masters and PhD levels.Experience in teaching in the following disciplinary areas: Hydrogeology and related geophysical methods, introductory geology in other fields.Research supervision of Masters and preferably PhD degrees required.National and emerging international profile in discipline.Track record of research publication.Track record of administration, management, and/or leadership roles (leadership roles may be informal).Duties include the following, but not limited to:Management of large classesTeaching of adult learnersAbility to carry over theory into practical laboratory sessionsAn ability to translate practical experience into curriculaAbility to relate theory to practiceAbility to teach in a field settingIntegration of own research into teachingAbility to develop a positive rapport and promote an affirming relationship with studentsSalary:Lecturer: CTC – R659,648.00Senior Lecturer: CTC – R804,699.00Associate Professor: CTC – R954,543.00:
