Maintenance Manager, Bloemfontein

Our client is looking for a hands-on Property Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining commercial and residential properties, supervising teams, and ensuring projects and buildings are completed to high standards. This is a practical, action-oriented role requiring someone comfortable with manual work, basic hardware knowledge, and team supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate maintenance and construction teams on-site
• Conduct snagging inspections and quality checks after building completions
• Perform manual maintenance tasks and repairs as required
• Manage cost estimates, budgeting, and resource allocation for projects
• Handle routine property issues such as plumbing, electrical, or pest control
• Ensure timely responses to tenant requests and move-out maintenance
• Pick up and deliver materials or employees to project sites as needed
• Maintain a safe and organised work environment
• Assist with building upgrades, renovations, and general property upkeep

Skills & Competencies:

• Basic hardware and maintenance knowledge
• Hands-on, practical approach to problem-solving
• Ability to supervise and motivate teams
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Ability to manage budgets and costing estimates
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to perform manual labor as required
• Experience as a handyman or in property maintenance is beneficial
