Job Responsibilities:
  • Direct the manufacturing engineers/ process specialists, in defining technical specifications for new equipment and alterations on existing equipment and facilities including leading the projects launches and production transfers.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts: propose and implement continuous productivity, efficiency and quality improvement actions for the facility.
  • Support the development of target material & information flow analysis (MIFA) and plant layout.
  • Develop capital budget requirements to adhere to established facility standards.
  • Ensure the continuous development and coaching of manufacturing engineering team.
  • Direct plant manufacturing engineering standard applications and strategic intent.
  • Assure compliance of the documented quality system (IATF16949) and promote consistency throughout the organization
  • Uphold the companys Code of Management and Code of Ethics.
  • Support the Maintenance manager when required with, repair and preventative maintenance for plant equipment; define and monitor quality/cost/delivery objectives given to external companies when intervening; computer aided maintenance management system for the plant

Job Requirements:
  • B degree/Diploma in engineering, with a specialisation in mechanics and automation
  • At least 7 years of maintenance/engineering experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
