Snr Technical Manager - Mining & Infrastructure

We are recruiting an experienced Senior Technical Manager to lead and oversee complex technical projects in the mining and infrastructure space for a 6 month contract in Secunda. This role requires a strong combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and leadership ability to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for the design, development, and implementation of projects (ventilation shafts, bunkers, water systems, etc.).
• Plan and manage project scope, objectives, timelines, and resources.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and quality requirements.
• Oversee technical and safety teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Manage risk, change, and stakeholder engagement effectively.
• Deliver projects within PMBOK guidelines and integrated risk management frameworks.

Requirements:

• Education: B Tech / B Eng. (Mechanical or Electrical).

Experience:

• 7+ years in capital infrastructure projects (design review, technical specs).
• -+2 years in mining or similar environment.

Certification:

• Government Certificate of Competence (Engineering) Mandatory.
• ECSA registration Advantageous.
• Added advantage: Project Management qualification.
• Strong knowledge of MHSA and SHERQ requirements.
