Description

Requirements

  • A recognised Mechanical or Instrumentation apprenticeship will be highly advantageous.
  • Technical qualifications such as N6 / N-Diploma in Mechanical Engineering are beneficial.
  • 5+ years proven experience as a TSS, ideally in the mining or valve industry.
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems and sales metrics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking and a results-driven mindset.
  • Willingness to travel within the region as required.
  • Minimum Matric (Grade 12) with Maths/Science.
  • Valve industry experience will be a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective regional sales strategies in collaboration with the RM.
  • Analyse market trends and identify growth opportunities within the Rustenburg area.
  • Monitor and manage overall regional sales performance.
  • Maintain a minimum of 5 years sales experience with clients such as Anglo (Valterra), Implats, and additional Rustenburg-area mining operations.
  • Leverage strong relationships on various mining plants with solid knowledge of mining systems and procurement processes.
  • Assess client flow-related applications and recommend long-term TCO-driven solutions.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Conduct sales calls, technical support, demonstrations, and client presentations confidently.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with marketing, product, and support teams to ensure service excellence.
  • Prepare regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and analytics for the RM.
  • Represent the company at regional events, trade shows, and industry conferences.
  • Must reside within 3050 km of key clients in the Rustenburg region.
