Education:
  • Bachelors Degree or Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management

Registration:
  • Professional registration with the South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession (SACQSP) is highly advantageous

Experience:
  • Proven experience in Quantity Surveying for 5 Years or more in an E&I Construction environment).
  • In depth experience in tendering and estimating for medium to large E&I Projects
  • Proven experience of Contract Law (NEC 3, FIDIC, GCC etc), contractual negotiations and dispute resolution.
  • Proven experience and knowledge of project planning and schedules software (MS Projects and/or Primavera)
  • Experience in site/construction and project management of E&I projects
  • Idepth knowledge of E&I construction methodologies and project management principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of research and data analysis methods and estimation formulas.
  • Experience in mining, processing plants, and infrastructure sectors
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and work in challenging environments
