Pr Civil-Structural Engineer

A Midrand based company in the renewable energy market, and a market leader in the solar mounting structure industry in Southern Africa, is looking for an ECSA registered professional engineer (PR.Eng/PR.Tech) civil/structural to join the team. The applicant must be proficient with structural and civil design using Prokon or similar design software, the SANS building and wind codes, and general design principles. The role encompasses detailed structure design, client interaction, project management, creating of cutting/material lists. The civil and mostly structural designs for various structures optimized for PV panel mounting includes: * Carports; * Free field standing structures; * Rooftop structures/bracketing and * Reinforced civil foundations the PV panel structures are mounted to; * Pile design. Required: * Structural engineering qualification (BEng, BTech) or similar; * Proficient in Prokon or similar software; * Drivers licence; * Computer & mathematical skills; * ECSA registered, Pr.Eng registered or imminent registration in the near future. * Technical design experience. * Structural and Civil Background. R40k - R60k pm, negotiable, market related depending on experience. Required: * Structural engineering qualification (BEng, BTech) or similar; * Proficient in Prokon or similar software; * Drivers licence; * Computer & mathematical skills; * ECSA registered, Pr.Eng registered or imminent registration in the near future. * Technical design experience. * Structural and Civil Background.
