Description
The Junior Sales Engineer will expand the companys reach, cultivate strategic partnerships, and drive revenue growth in the construction, consulting, and Independent Power Producer (IPP) sectors across South Africa, Zambia, and Tanzania. This role requires a proactive individual with strong industry awareness, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of sales growth.

The position focuses on selling technical products and services, explaining complex technical information to customers, and demonstrating how products or equipment can solve specific challenges. The role also involves providing technical insight on deployment and implementation, ensuring the value proposition is clearly communicated.

Work Activities and Responsibilities
  1. Identify and qualify potential leads through research, networking, and outreach.
  2. Develop targeted sales pitches and presentations to clearly communicate the companys value proposition.
  3. Promote and sell equipment, products, and solutions to current and prospective clients using strong technical knowledge and commercial experience.
  4. Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding and anticipating customer needs.
  5. Identify new business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and evaluate sales performance.
  6. Prepare, schedule, coordinate, assign, and monitor enquiries, quotations, orders, projects, and deliveries.
  7. Stay informed on the latest industry developments and communicate relevant updates internally.
  8. Present and explain technical aspects of products and solutions, showing clients how these features offer operational benefits.
  9. Maintain a strong technical understanding of the companys products and solutions, with regular engagement with maintenance engineers, production engineers, and plant managers.
  10. Collaborate with product partners design, production, engineering, and R&D teams to adapt products or services to customer requirements.
  11. Expand sales territories within the assigned regions.
  12. Develop marketing strategies to increase lead conversions and enhance customer experience.
  13. Track sales targets and actual performance to determine marketing support needs.
  14. Gather and store competitor product information for market research.
  15. Identify new sales and marketing channels and technologies, and determine optimal ways to promote the business.
