Job Title: Junior Internal Sales Representative
Industry: Energy & Solar / Independent Power Producer (IPP)
Location: Midrand, Gauteng
Employment Type: Permanent | Full-Time Office Based
Salary: R8,500 R10,000 Basic + Structured Benefits

Our client is a dynamic and forward-thinking engineering firm specialising in construction, consulting services and operating as an Independent Power Producer (IPP). The business has an established footprint in South Africa with growing international exposure and focuses on delivering sustainable energy and infrastructure solutions.
They are seeking a young, driven and motivated Junior Internal Sales Representative to support the sales function and contribute to revenue growth.
Role Overview
The Junior Internal Sales Representative will be responsible for supporting the external sales team, identifying new sales opportunities, maintaining client relationships and ensuring effective sales administration.
The role is office-based and involves telephonic and email engagement with customers, quotation preparation, CRM updates and assisting with tender and project administration.
This is a target-driven position requiring strong communication skills, urgency and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers
Identify and qualify new sales opportunities
Generate leads through cold calling, email campaigns and follow-ups
Respond to internal and external sales enquiries promptly
Prepare and submit quotations within required timelines
Achieve monthly sales targets
Maintain and update CRM database and customer records
Monitor customer accounts and identify upselling opportunities
Assist with order processing, invoicing and purchase orders
Ensure payment terms are adhered to
Coordinate and monitor product deliveries
Assist in arranging client meetings and product demonstrations
Provide administrative support in the tender process (research, costing support, documentation)
Update internal price lists and ensure accuracy
Collaborate with sales and project teams to ensure customer satisfaction
Minimum Requirements
Matric (Grade 12)
Additional sales-related qualification advantageous
1+ year proven internal sales experience (engineering, mining, agricultural or related technical field preferred)
Strong customer service experience
Fluent in English (spoken and written) French advantageous
Excellent computer literacy
Ability to multitask and work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
Strong administrative accuracy and attention to detail
