Junior EHS Professional
Reporting to: OperationsSeniority Level: Mid Career (2 - 4 yrs exp)
Description: Seeking a proactive and dynamic junior EHS professional to join the EQS team. Collaborate closely with experienced professionals and gain valuable hands-on experience. This internship provides exposure to various EHS, Quality, and Security areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety organizations align with legal requirements
- Compile and approve safety files
- Identify vendors for EHS training
- Communicate legal requirements to Business Areas
- Ensure health programs align with legal requirements
- Report incidents to relevant authorities
- Train employees on IT EHS software
- Provide general administrative support
Requirements:
- Environmental Health diploma from a South African University
- SAMTRAC certification
- Understanding of EHS principles and regulations
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Passion for EHS management
