Turner Machinist

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in operating conventional machines, with CNC machining experience considered a strong advantage. You will be responsible for producing precision components to exact specifications and ensuring high-quality standards are maintained throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain centre lathes, milling machines, and slotting machines.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
• Perform precision machining operations to tight tolerances.
• Inspect finished components to ensure quality and compliance with technical standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to improve production efficiency and quality.

Requirements:

• Proven experience operating center lathes.
• Experience with milling machines and slotting machines.
• Red Seal Qualification is essential.
• CNC machining experience will be an added advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Grade 12
