The Role: Senior Project Engineer Mechanical/Mining

The purpose of this role is to lead and manage mechanical engineering aspects of large-scale projects within an EPCM environment. The role exists to ensure technical excellence, compliance, and efficient project delivery from the design phase through to execution. It contributes to the business by overseeing engineering solutions and providing technical leadership to ensure projects are delivered within scope, time, and budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage mechanical engineering aspects of large-scale projects with 1015+ years relevant experience.

• Oversee design, development, and execution of engineering solutions while reviewing and approving technical drawings.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams and coordinate with multidisciplinary stakeholders.

• Support project planning, budgeting, and scheduling to ensure successful delivery.

• Conduct periodic site visits to provide engineering support to construction teams.

• Utilize experience in PGM, Chrome, and Base Metals concentrators or Platinum Smelter operations.

• Apply previous project experience with Anglo American, Anglo American Platinum, or Valterra Platinum.

About You

• 1015+ years relevant experience within EPCM, mining, or minerals processing environments.

• B.Eng / B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering.

• ECSA PrEng registration (essential) for signing off designs and drawings.

• Proven experience working with leading EPCM companies.

• Strong technical and project leadership capability with problem-solving and analytical skills.
