Senior Mechanical Project Engineer

Job & Company Description:
As a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer, you will take ownership of mechanical engineering design, development and delivery for modular, skidâ??mounted and containerised process plants. You will work within a fully integrated environmentengineering, fabrication, automation and electricalto translate process designs into efficient mechanical systems. You will lead mechanical engineering activities from concept through commissioning, ensuring compliance with quality, safety and project requirements.

This 12â??month contract role offers a careerâ??defining platform for an engineer who thrives in multiâ??disciplinary project settings and enjoys tackling complex mechanical design challenges within an innovative modular plant environment.

Education:

• B.Eng / BSc Mechanical Engineering (postgraduate qualification advantageous)
• Professional registration (Pr.Eng) beneficial but not essential

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Minimum 8 years experience in mechanical engineering within EPC/EPCM/EPS or modular plant environments
• Strong background in designing pressure vessels, piping systems, rotating equipment, and skidâ??mounted process equipment
• Proven experience in mechanical calculations including pump sizing, pipe stress analysis, material selection, and flow analysis
• Solid understanding of fabrication processes and workshop integration
• Experience collaborating with process engineering, automation, electrical and fabrication teams
• Ability to lead engineering deliverables, manage vendors and perform QA/QC checks
• Strong project coordination, technical leadership and problemâ??solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
