Senior Mechanical Engineer - Centurion

This role is suited to a technically strong engineer who can take ownership of complex mechanical designs across the full product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute mechanical design and development activities from concept through to production
• Design, analyse, and validate mechanical systems and components for high-reliability applications
• Produce and review detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
• Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and tolerance analyses
• Support prototyping, testing, qualification, and integration activities
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including systems, electrical, and manufacturing engineers
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
• Ensure designs comply with applicable industry, aviation, and military standards

Minimum Requirements

• BEng in Mechanical Engineering (non-negotiable)
• Minimum 8+ years experience in mechanical engineering
• Proven experience in aviation, defence, or military engineering environments
• Strong understanding of precision mechanical design and manufacturing processes
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo or similar)
• Experience working through full product development life cycles
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Advantageous

• Exposure to regulated or safety-critical systems
• Experience with environmental, vibration, or structural testing
• Leadership or technical lead experience on complex projects
