Process Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse current manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop, implement, and monitor process optimisation strategies to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other improvement methodologies.
• Monitor production performance metrics and generate reports on efficiency, waste, downtime, and quality trends.
• Conduct root cause analysis on process failures, defects, and inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions.
• Support new product introduction by developing process flows, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to improve plant performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Assist with equipment selection, commissioning, and process validation.
• Participate in capital projects and plant optimisation initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelors Degree or National Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 35 years experience as a Process Engineer within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of production systems, process flow design, and manufacturing best practices.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies (certification advantageous).
• Proficiency in data analysis and MS Office (strong Excel skills required).
• Experience working with ERP or production management systems (advantageous).
• Understanding of ISO quality systems and health & safety regulations.
