Role Introduction

Mechanical Engineer to take responsibility for the design, execution, and management of mechanical engineering projects. The successful candidate will report to the Lead Mechanical Engineer and play a key role in leading design initiatives, managing budgets, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring project delivery within scope, cost, and schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of piping, pumps, structural, and plant component systems.
• Develop and review detailed mechanical designs, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Perform advanced analysis including CFD modelling and validation of engineering models.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and the drawing office.
• Manage project budgets for equipment and materials against approved proposals.
• Oversee prototype development and testing were required.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and safety regulations.
• Manage quality control processes and oversee quality data packs for all projects.
• Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, contractors, and clients.
• Attend client meetings, provide technical input, and present project updates.
• Analyze operational data and compile detailed engineering reports.
• Support commissioning activities and provide technical troubleshooting on-site, including underground work where required.
• Ensure full compliance with the SHEQ Integrated Management System (IMS).

Qualifications

• BEng / BTech / BSc Mechanical Engineering (Completed)[MS1]
