Description
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Actively prospecting and cold calling to identify and develop new business opportunities across the instrumentation and control sector.
  • Meeting with existing and prospective customers to present the company's full EC&I product and solutions offering.
  • Converting leads and prospects into clients through strong relationship-building and consultative selling.
  • Cross-selling and upselling across the product range to maximise revenue from each account.
  • Identifying new market opportunities and staying ahead of industry trends and competitor activity.
  • Representing the company at trade expos, industry events, and client-facing engagements.
  • Maintaining a strong market presence and building lasting relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Reporting on pipeline activity, sales performance, and market feedback.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in external sales within the electrical engineering, instrumentation, or control industry essential.
  • Solid technical knowledge of low and medium voltage switchgear essential.
  • Experience selling Zest drives and motors, with established market knowledge and existing relationships in this space strongly preferred.
  • Confident and professional verbal communicator with strong email etiquette and written communication skills.
  • Proven track record of high customer conversion rates and opportunity spotting.
  • Technologically literate, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP systems.
  • A natural team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven, with the ability to work independently in the field.
