Applications Engineer

Role Summary:

Translates complex customer requirements into practical technical solutions. Bridges the gap between concepts and commercial reality by producing electrical drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and highâ??value proposals that enable partners and endâ??users to implement systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret RFQs/requirements to design integrated electrical and automation solutions
• Develop electrical drawings and accurate BOMs
• Prepare technicalâ??commercial proposals (pricing, lead times, scope)
• Provide preâ??sales technical support to channel partners
• Collaborate with Product Design and Support teams to ensure feasibility and compliance

Essential Requirements:

• Qualification in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics
• Experience in electrical design and technical documentation/BOMs
• Proficiency in CAD and advanced Excel for costing
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of industrial sales cycles

Beneficial Requirements:

• Experience with Channel Partners or System Integrators
• Knowledge of automation and switchgear product ranges
• Ability to present technical solutions to nonâ??technical stakeholders
