An Estimator

The Estimator will work closely with technical, fabrication, and procurement teams to produce reliable cost structures that support competitive and commercially sound proposals.

Key Purpose of the Role:
To support the creation of accurate, structured, and defensible cost models for modular engineering solutionsensuring consistency with approved cost structures, maintaining margin protection, and providing reliable commercial inputs for FEED, EPS, and modular product bids.

Key Responsibilities:

• Estimating & Cost Development:
  • Build detailed cost models for modular engineering solutions, FEED deliverables, EPS conversions, and standard/configurable modules.
  • Estimate labour, materials, fabrication, electrical/instrumentation builds, logistics, installation, commissioning, and lifecycle costs.
  • Gather technical inputs, vendor pricing, and discipline-specific resource estimates from PPE, PPF, and PPAE teams.
  • Ensure alignment with approved cost structures, overheads, multipliers, and pricing logic.
• Cross-functional Coordination:
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, and Fabrication to verify quantities, BOQs, durations, and key assumptions.
  • Support the Bid & Proposals Lead with pricing summaries, commercial schedules, and risk-adjusted estimates.
• Commercial Accuracy & Governance:
  • Verify historical cost data, benchmark pricing, and lessons learned to support accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Identify and quantify commercial risks, cost drivers, and uncertaintieshighlighting potential margin exposure.
  • Ensure continuity and alignment between conceptual estimates, FEED-level estimates, and final EPS pricing.
  • Maintain estimation libraries, cost databases, templates, and reusable costing tools.

Team Structure:

• This role does not include direct reports.
• Works collaboratively with the Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, and Bid & Proposals functions.

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification in Engineering, Cost Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• Experience in estimating for EPCM, modular fabrication, engineering projects, or related environments.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with advanced Excel or estimating software capability.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
• Excellent organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
