Minimum requirements:
  • Grade 12 or relevant NQF 4 qualification
  • Management qualification will be advantageous
  • 3-5 years experience in a similar procurement management role
  • SANS 1535 and ISO Standards
  • Proficient in MS Office and Sage
  • Technical Drawing Literacy: Ability to read an engineering drawing
  • Experience with Imports and Exports
  • Experience with production material forecasting
  • Production orders and inventory management
  • Strong experience in supplier management
Key Responsibilities:
  • Steel Market Intelligence: Actively track the Steel Price Index (local and international) to make strategic "bulk buy" decisions on mild steel and stainless-steel plates/coils.
  • International Freight Management: Negotiate rates and coordinate with freight forwarders for road, sea, and rail transport across borders, and manage documents
  • MTC Management and MTC certificate verification
  • Financial and risk management duties
