Minimum requirements:

  1. Qualifications and Experience:
  • National Diploma in Safety Management or a relevant technical discipline.
  • â??SAMTRAC, NEBOSH, or equivalent SHEQ certification is essential.
  • â??Minimum 35 years in a heavy equipment, mining, or construction environment.
  • â??Proven experience in managing SHEQ files for major utility contracts and a deep understanding of the OHS Act.
  • â??Exceptional administrative accuracy, strong communication skills, and a valid drivers license.
  1. Roles will include but not limited to:
  • Implement and maintain ISO 45001, 14001, and 9001 management systems.
  • â??Conduct comprehensive Baseline and Continuous Risk Assessments (HIRA) for heavy machinery and mobile crane operations.
  • â??Prepare SHEQ Files and returnable safety documentation.
  • â??Lead root-cause investigations and ensure the timeous close-out of all Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
  • â??Conduct safety inductions and toolbox talks to optimize operator synergy and safety awareness.
