Mechanical Draughtsman

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings using AutoCAD (Full Suite or AutoCAD Focus)
• Develop and update structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings for mining-related equipment and infrastructure
• Interpret engineering designs, specifications, and site measurements
• Revise drawings based on engineering changes and production feedback
• Ensure drawings comply with industry standards and company specifications
• Collaborate closely with engineers, production, and project teams
• Maintain accurate drawing records and document control

Minimum Requirements

• Proven experience as a Draughtsman in a manufacturing or mining environment
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Full Suite or AutoCAD Focus (essential)
• Experience in structural, mechanical, and electrical drafting (essential)
• Strong understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes
• Ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings
• High attention to detail and accuracy

Advantageous

• Experience within the mining or heavy engineering sector
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
