Job Description
- Develop mechanical designs, calculations, and technical documentation
- Create detailed drawings, BOMs, and assembly information
- Perform basic mechanical analysis on components and systems
- Support project delivery from design through to installation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
- Assist with site activities and resolve technical issues
- Review shop drawings and support manufacturing processes
- Ensure quality standards and maintain documentation
- Contribute to testing, commissioning, and handover processes
- Assist with process improvements and design optimisation
- 15 years experience in mechanical design
- Proficiency SolidWorks.
- Basic understanding of mechanical analysis and FEA concepts
- Exposure to manufacturing, fabrication, or building systems
- Familiarity with relevant standards (SANS, EN, ASCE advantageous)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- BEng / BSc / MEng in Mechanical Engineering or related field
