Description
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple engineering projects from design through to delivery, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
- Perform in-house mechanical design and development, including calculations, FEA/simulations, 3D CAD modelling, and technical documentation.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and coaching.
- Review engineering deliverables, reports, and inspection outcomes, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, quality control procedures, and relevant engineering codes and practices.
- Provide regular progress updates and technical reports to management and clients.
- Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software (preferably SolidWorks) and familiarity with FEA/simulation tools.
- Solid understanding of engineering calculations and related software (e.g., Mathcad, MATLAB or similar).
- Knowledge of industry standards and codes (e.g., ASME, API, ABS, DNV) is advantageous.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes, including fabrication, welding, and machining.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong technical reporting ability.
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills, with proficiency in MS Office tools.
