Field Service Technician

Minimum Requirements
BTech Mechanical Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering OR Trade Tested (Electrician, Millwright and Diesel Mechanic)
Valid drivers license (essential)
2 5 years experience in:
o Materials Handling Equipment
o Forklifts / Lift Trucks
o Industrial Equipment / Mobile Equipment

Key Responsibilities
Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on lift trucks and materials handling equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
Conduct breakdown repairs at client sites.
Complete service reports and job cards accurately and timeously.
Provide technical support and recommendations to clients.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
Maintain service vehicle, tools, and equipment in good working order.
Build strong client relationships and uphold company brand standards.

Technical Competencies
Strong fault-finding skills (electrical, hydraulic & mechanical systems)
Understanding of AC/DC systems
Knowledge of hydraulic systems and drive motors
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
Experience with battery-powered and diesel-powered lift trucks
Experience with lithium batteries is ideal
Experience with the selling of parts is ideal
