Description
Job Description:
- Design practical and efficient engineering solutions with a focus on simplicity, accuracy, cost-effectiveness, and ease of manufacture
- Produce high-quality assembly and detailed manufacturing drawings in line with applicable industry standards
- Develop part specifications, bills of materials (BOMs), production documentation, and technical manuals
- Initiate and implement Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) to improve and update existing designs
- Control and maintain revisions of drawings, material lists, and equipment documentation
- Create detailed layout drawings for customer manufacturing facilities and production environments
- Prepare accurate Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Provide hands-on technical support to manufacturing teams and assist technicians on-site as required
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in machine design and manufacturing environments
- At least 2 years practical experience using CAD software
- Strong computer literacy, including MS Word, MS Excel, and 2D CAD applications
- Proven proficiency in 3D CAD for the design of machines and equipment
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment
- Willingness and ability to travel locally and internationally when required
- Positive, proactive, and dependable work ethic
Qualification:
- Dip, BEng or BTech in Mechanical Engineering
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
