Alarm Technician(REF AT2024.A)

Atlas Fire Security requires an Alarm Technician to join their Fire Detection team. We require individuals who will bring their skills and knowledge on board and who are willing to learn within a different type of industry.

Must be South African, reside within a 20km radius of CPT Airport, must have sober habits, subject to drugs, medical and criminal screening

Job Responsibilities:

· To assist with the installation of all cabling, conduit, devices and fittings required for any fire detection system

· To observe and follow the Company’s Health & Safety Policy

· Collection, loading, delivery and transportation of materials required for their or another teams project between the Company’s premises, premises of suppliers and the project site.

· To know the different types of conduit and cables.

· Experience of Installing, programming and fault finding of any alarm, security, PA, Access control and sound control systems.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Must have a valid Driver’s license

· Should be very experienced in using hand and power tools very well (drills, grinders, pipe benders, millimetres etc.)

· Experience using Bosal and cable trays advantageous

· PSIRA registered

· Must have been employed in the formal job market for a period of at least two years in a similar type of environment using cables and conduits.

· Good verbal communication skills

· Accurate with repetitive tasks

· Good attention to detail

· Must be physically fit to perform the job.
