Project Coordinator
Reason for Reporting
Our client is looking to employ a strong Project Coordinator/Administrator responsible for all new projects within the Contracts Department which includes but is not limited to, the following regions: Exports, Local Automotive and Commercial. Resonsibilities shall include schedule preparation, planning and execution related to design, engineering, estimating, sampling, production, dispatch and other technical activities relating to the project. All new projects and project milestones must be achieved on time. Ideal if you have experience working in the Digital PRINT space, even automotive space - this is a creative space.
Requirements:
- Matric
- Project Administration Management and or Technical Qualification
- Excellent Project Management Skills
- Customer Service Champion
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent Administration skills
- High levels of attention to detail and well-developed troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Very good computer literacy
- Successful completion of APQP Training
- Knowledge of OEM customer-specific requirements
- 3-5 years experience within an automotive customer service environment
- Customer-specific training & qualification where appropriate
Duties:
Effective project management & co-ordination of ALL of the following areas:
- Customer Service
- Design & Engineering
- Estimating, Sampling & Production
- Customer Approval
- Quality Assurance
- Shuttle worth
- All new projects to be managed so that all deadlines and due dates are met by means of the Project Database
- This Database must provide a snapshot of the status and due dates of all new projects, samples, documentation and more
- Information must be "live" and updated daily
- Database to be stored on the Shared Drive
- Provide updates to the Customer Service Manager on all open projects once per week (minimum).
- Facilitate feasibilities for all new and updated projects. Document outcomes in Team Feasibility Sheet
- Facilitate team meetings, as required, to ensure sound communication with all parties involved
- Schedule conference call with Account Manager at least once a week to discuss Open Projects
- If concerns arise which could jeopardize the success of a project, then formal notification to Management is required
- Attend production meetings once a week
- Map our and manage the submission of Price Reviews for all customers as per the timelines
- Manage projects in accordance with customer specific requirements in relation to APQP principles
- Customer Metrics
- Email: Acknowledge receipt and respond to query immediately
- Manage customer expectations in terms of design, quotations, sampling
- Build good relationships with internal and external customers - develop h
