Join this African powerhouse supplying beverages and food products to 850 million people. A great opportunity exists for a Junior English Social Media Manager.
Our client is looking for a Social Media Manager to administer social media accounts for their Facebook pages in African English-speaking countries. They will be responsible for creating ORIGINAL text, image and video content that is RELEVANT, managing posts and responding to fans/followers with the help of digital designers. They will manage each brand’s image in a cohesive way to achieve individual marketing goals.
As a Social Media Manager, our client expects the candidate to be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. They should have excellent communication skills and be able to express their views creatively. Ultimately, they should be able to handle their brands’ digital and social media presence ensuring high levels of web traffic and customer engagement.
Responsibilities
Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
Implement social media strategies for their brands to align with individual business goals
Develop relevant content topics to reach target customers
Generate, create, manage, edit, publish and share engaging content daily - must be original text, photos, videos and news
Collaborate with other teams when required
Oversee social media accounts design (example: Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures, tabs layouts etc..), the look and feel must be consistent with brand’s corporate identity
Oversee social media accounts
Social watching: communicate with fans/followers, respond to comments/queries in a timely manner to maintain responsiveness badge, and monitor customer reviews
Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions
Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications
Monthly reporting to management and clients showing results (ROI)
Design, create and manage promotions and social media advertising campaigns
Implement digital campaign strategy
Minimum requirements
Proven work experience as a Social Media Manager (at least one year)
Hands-on experience in content management
Excellent copywriting skills in English
Excellent communication skills in English
Ability to deliver creative and relevant content (texts, image and video)
Knowledge of online marketing channels
Analytical and multitasking skills
Degree in Digital Marketing or relevant field
Highly motivated and creative with great attention to detail
Photography skills are an advantage (able to take photos of people and products for posts)

We are looking for “Booksellers and marketers” around South Africa.
We are a small “Book Publishing” company. This is part of our pilot program where we are implementing guerrilla marketing and distribution over formal traditional marketing, which we feel is not very effective for first-time authors, despite their work being good.
Which brings me to this opportunity.
We believe everyone might know at least 20 people in their circles who like books or who will buy just because it’s being marketed by them. That includes family, acquaintances, and friends; online and offline.
You won’t have to sell physical copies you just have to market and sell to your sphere of contacts. On Facebook, WhatsApp, insta, Twitter, family groups, etc the list is endless.
Usually, bookshops order books for 20% less than the retail price. We use the same. You are entitled to a 20% commission on all the sales you make.
We work with courier companies that handle deliveries.
How it works.
All your buyers make their orders using a unique code that is allocated to you. The code can be BS EZ1. We will have every book seller’s codes on our Sales sheet. (They can order straight from us or if you prefer, you order for them). Ordering details will be provided.
This being a trial run the target is just 10 books. Once the threshold is reached and you are convinced it’s something you want to be part of then we take it to the next stage.
