Account Director

A superb opening has become available for a red-hot Account Director at a fab multi-disciplinary ad agency specialising in Branding & Packaging in Johannesburg. We’re looking for someone who has a strong ability to engage with people around them; both internally - establishing good working relationships with creative and strategy teams; and externally - establishing strong relationships with the client and instilling trust. You’ll be able to achieve this with your confidence, knowledge, intuition and proactivity. The successful candidate will be an energetic forward thinker who will rise to the challenge of this demanding role and be willing to always go the extra mile. Responsibilities
Customer Relationship Management
General management and maintenance of allocated clients and client portfolio
Add value strategically on all projects across your portfolio
Foster and build on new and existing long-term relationships
Challenge, add-value and provide value-based solutions to all clients
Draft and manage costing across client service team
Work together with creative team to challenge and deliver quality solutions
To represent the company and raise the company profile and share the vision of the agency.
Financial Management
To drive and deliver revenue and profit targets
Effectively manage pipeline forecasting and ensure monthly revenue targets are met along with client service team
Maximise profit and revenue where possible across all projects
To ensure all client reporting, proposals and invoicing are supplied and completed
To ensure monthly job recons are completed, analysed and shared with CSD on a monthly basis
To assist all client service with costing and proposals when required.
Operation & HR management
To ensure all systems & process are followed
To ensure responsible workflow management and ensure a high level of efficiency and maximising revenue
To be proficient in Chase management and follow all necessary procedures
Assist in recruitment of AM & AE along with CSD if required
To motivate, lead and assist in driving team morale and culture.
Business Development
Continuous identification of potential business leads and develop opportunities within existing clients
To continuously identify & create opportunities for potential new business and key contacts
Assist the CSD in driving growth and delivering on budgets.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
Relevant qualification
Approximately 5 years’ experience with at least 2 of these years in packaging, design or branding
Necessary to have had some packaging experience
