MAIN JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the General Manager, the Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for ensuring quality, compliance, health and safety, and continuous improvement of all education, training, and assessment services offered by the organisation. The role ensures alignment with QCTO, SETA and SAQA requirements, oversees workplace health and safety compliance, and manages the effectiveness of the organisations internal Learner Management System (LMS) to support accurate learner administration and reporting.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Regulatory Compliance, Accreditation & Quality Management
- Develop, implement, and maintain and continuously improve Quality Management System (QMS) in line with South African education, training and occupational legislation
- Ensure all organisational accreditations, scopes of accreditation, assessment centre approvals, and registrations with QCTO, SETAs, and SAQA remain valid, current, and compliant at all times
- Maintain a comprehensive accreditation and re-accreditation register, including expiry dates, renewal timelines, extensions of scope, and responsible parties
- Prepare, coordinate and manage programme accreditation-accreditation, extension of scope, monitoring, and renewal submission to QCTO, SETA, and SAQA.
- Monitor compliance with training and assessment, moderation and certification strategies, policies, and procedures
- Prepare for, coordinate, and manage internal and external audits, site visits, and regulatory reviews
- Address non-compliances and implement corrective and preventative action plans
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and ensure organisational alignment
2. Training & Assessment Quality Assurance
- Oversee the purchasing, development, implementation, and review of learning programmes in the Learning and Development Team function
- Ensure effective assessment, moderation, validation and recognition of prior learning (RPL) processes are implemented, documented and compliant
