Junior Data Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

• Extract, clean and analyse data from databases and data warehouses to uncover meaningful insights.
• Build dashboards and visual reports that enable business teams to monitor performance and drive strategic decisions.
• Partner with crossâ??functional teams to understand data needs and convert them into actionable analysis.
• Maintain high data quality by identifying gaps, inconsistencies and opportunities for improved data integrity.
• Support ongoing enhancements to analytical processes, tools and reporting frameworks.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education (Minimum):

• Bachelors degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience:

• 03 years experience in data analysis or related fields.

Technical Skills:

• SQL (essential)
• Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI or similar
• Strong Excel / spreadsheet capability
• Python or R (advantageous)

Soft Skills / Nonâ??Negotiables:

• Must be based in Cape Town
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Clear communication skills, especially when presenting insights to nonâ??technical audiences
• Curiosity, attention to detail and a proactive attitude
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative environment
