An Accountant

Job Description:
As the Accountant, your duties include the following:
Manage the Fixed Asset Register
Ensure accurate recordings, transfers, and disposals
Reconcile within month-end deadlines
Oversee month-end close
Prepare accurate journals
Review income statements
Ensure timely and complete balance sheet reconciliations
Maintain strict internal control standards to prevent audit findings and ensure compliance with company policies
Prepare and submit Income Tax, Provisional tax and VAT returns
Compile and finalize annual financial statements
Liaise with internal and external auditors
Monitor and implement changes to accounting standards and advise management accordingly
Support broader finance initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes as the business evolves

Skills & Experience:
3-5 years of experience in an Accountant position
Experience from the FMCG, Manufacturing or Farming industry would be highly advantageous
Proficiency in English and Afrikaans
Advanced Excel skills

Qualification:
Completed BCom degree
