Accounts Payable Controller

The Accounts Payable Controller would play a crucial role in the central finance office, ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately, payments are made on time, and compliance with South African VAT and hospitality-specific financial standards is maintained. The role is tailored to the luxury lodge and hotel environment, where precision and vendor relationship management are vital.

Core Criteria:

• 35 years experience in accounts payable or financial administration.
• Background in hospitality or multi-property environments advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, VAT, and tax compliance.
• Strong grasp of rate structures, commissions, and voucher systems
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, LOOKUPS, SUMIFS)
• Familiarity with Benson or similar PMS platforms is a plus
• Precision, accuracy, and a sharp eye for detail
• Clear communication with suppliers and internal teams
• Self-motivated, reliable, and able to manage responsibilities independently
• Ability to manage deadlines and high-volume workloads.
