The Multimedia Designer will work directly with the Director and Director of Multimedia. This role will support the creation and maintenance of graphics across all marketing platforms including print, digital design, web graphics, and video graphics. The ideal candidate for this position should be a creative and autonomous self-starter who is capable of balancing multiple projects simultaneously. They should be excited by the prospect of continuous improvement both in their work and in their interpersonal skills. They should eagerly incorporate feedback and research trends and best practices in the education industry. The ideal candidate should have an online portfolio available to view.
* Create visually compelling digital and print content from concept to final application that helps to sell the organisation’s services and capabilities to customers and prospective clients
* Demonstrate a keen understanding of technologies and creative strategies in the design and creation of graphical assets, templates and other creative content for all mediums
* Perform quality assurance testing to verify the integrity of the user experience
* Work in conjunction with the creative team and director to develop new design solutions when needed
* Maintain consistent brand identity across all media channels
* Work seamlessly with all levels of staff and management in the department and organisation to help them articulate their message and translate those messages visually, incorporating the organisation’s brand in a creative and visually compelling way
* Ensure quality control and attention to detail by proof-reading all projects, visually and using spell check, checking and confirming links, etc. to produce accurate and high-quality work
* Occasionally coordinate with outside vendors as assigned
* Online portfolio required
* At least 2 years of experience as a Graphic Designer, predominantly digital design
* Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite
* Knowledge of print production and pre-press file preparation
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Fluency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required
* Desire to continually learn, evaluate and implement new technologies; up to date on current trends, new techniques and resources in graphic design and related technologies
* Ability to work well within templated processes, innovating when required, to streamline the delivery of creative for all platforms
