Machine Setter - PinetownMachine Setter - Plastic Manufacturing company PinetownScope/PurposeEnsure that the employee knows and understands the complete scope of work that must be carried out and the authority he/she has to conduct such workResponsibilities/ DutiesMake sure correct moulds are put in correctly into the machinesEnsure that the water, ejector and locating rings are connected correctlyEnsure mould surfaces are clean and free of plasticMust be able to setup injection moulding machines without a setup chartKnowledge of engineering polymers with moulds with air blast and core pulling make sure products are set according to the master sampleMake sure job cards are read to establish the requirements of running the product efficiently and the information is complete and correctThe company only allows 3 percent scrap rate on material usage, this needs to maintained or improved by the setterSetter must approve and sign off each job that is set and create a "Process Control Sheet" per product/machineSetter must ensure lubrication is working on the machineSetter must ensure no safety switches are by-passed or illegally tampered withSetter must watch and remove blow back of material.
