Operations EngineerOur client is seeking an Operations Engineer to manage and coordinate the operations activities to improve reliability and performance. Open position : Operations EngineerLocation : Port ElizabethSalary : Market relatedType : Permanent positionReporting to : Branch Manager Job requirements :B-Tech or BSC Eng. in Mechanical engineeringMinimum 7 Years with relevant work experience preferably within the Automotive production/industryPreferably in a specialist roleComputer Literacy- SAP, Microsoft suite and MS ProjectsMetal processing plant experience would be an advantageWorking in a team environmentMust have the ability to lead and organise during a machine repair or installationApply general rules, mathematical methods, information, and machine manualsSound knowledge of a maintenance and production environmentGood client relations, communication skills including verbal aptitudeHave specific knowledge/experience to enhance production performance.Must be able to perform tasks required physicallyEffective transfer of knowledge and skills to subordinates and colleagues Duties :Ensure compliance to safety, health, environmental, quality policies, and standardsPlan, organise, lead and control operations work activities in both maintenance and productionAchieve and sustain equipment reliability levels to achieve OEE objectivesProject planning and executionAssemble, install, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment as required and as per OEM standardsOptimise planned maintenance inspection cards to be predictive and preventativeManagement of sub-contractors including their safety and quality of worko Develop team members to be knowledgeable in equipment specifications, operating standards, and fault-findingo Develop tools / systems / processes to improve knowledge and skills transfero Manage and assess the performance of individual team memberso Optimise production and maintenance processes to improve productivity and reliabilityo Root Cause Analysis of factors causing poor operations performanceKey KPI’s – machine availability, machine utilisation, break down performance, OEE, cost, continuous improvement Should you meet the above job requirements, please email your CV to nanette@zwanda.co.za Please add “Operations Engineer” into the subject line of your email.
