Complement Recruitment are recruiting for a Depot Key Account Manager for a raw materials/receiving warehouse company based in Bloemfontein, Free State. This is a permanent position, the duties are very similar to that of a Senior Account Manager, managing key client accounts, customer deliveries and monitoring the KPI’s as per the SLA, with the additional responsibility of managing the day to day activities of the depot. Salary: R40k Basic + BenefitsMinimum Requirements:Grade 12; Relevant tertiary qualification would be advantageous (Supply Chain, Warehousing)3 Years’ experience as a Depot Manager, Logistics, Supply Chain, Distribution Key Account ManagerDriver’s License, Own TransportStaff Management experienceExperience in the steel industry advantageousComputer literate (Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint, Lotus, Sales Logics, ERP)As per the Company’s Employment Equity plan preference will be given to candidates (with required skills & experience) in the underrepresented groups.Skills And Knowledge:Excellent communication – client relations & service orientation skillsAttention to detail & follow up skillsAdministrative skills, MonitoringClient Retention And Key Account ManagementStaff Supervision Good planning & organizing skillsDuties:The implementation and management of marketing and sales strategiesThe achievement of set sales and ASP budgetsIncreasing the distribution channels of products and services offered by the companyWorking alongside specifying agencies to ensure product specifications with specifiersResolving customer complaints that might arise Pricing of tender documents as well as day to day quotations requested by customers inclusive of estimations from plans submitted by customersMonitoring and reporting of competitor pricing and strategiesRegular product training for internal staff and customers alikeContinuous promotion of company products to markets dominated by other products – government projects and sheet metal projects (Interaction with government officials and other stake holders)Assist in the effective management of customer accountsBuilding long-term business relationships with customersSubmission of monthly management and market reports as required by superiorStaff appraisals and performance managementAuthorisation, management and budgeting for depot running costsMonthly auditing and authorization of transporter claimsFulfilling the internal sales function if and when requiredEnsuring site safety and that company health and safety standards are implemented and adhered to in the daily depot operationsDepot product mix forecastingDepot stock control and involvement in sales planning and forecastingCompetency in required computer software, e.g. Sales Logics, Microsoft Office and Lotus notes to ensure effective administration, communication and presentation skillsAdhere strictly to the company’s policies with regards to business ethics and anti-competitive behaviour
